Where every day is an adventure and every stay a vacation for your dog!

About US: and our cage free, home style dog boarding service

We have been caring for dog since 2007 in the Tucson area:

Connie and I are proud to offer our homestyle, cage-free dog boarding service to people who want to give their dog an enriching, positive, boarding experience, and thereby free themselves of concern for their dog when they need to travel.  We know that not all dogs are suited to staying in dog kennels or large scale pet boarding facilities; at Adventure Dog  Ranch, we offer a unique service to our clients and their dogs. Our safe and secure hiking acreage, dog agility playground, swimming pool and cool, comfortable veranda, and our spacious and comfortable custom home, provide a wonderful dog boarding vacation experience that cannot be found at other Tucson area dog kennels, pet boarding services, or dog daycares. We offer the amenities of a pet resort, the comforts of a bed and breakfast for dogs, and the outdoor nature and day time activities of a dog ranch, all in a true southwest setting.

I am pet first aid and CPR certified and a long standing member of the  Humane Society Of Southern Arizona.  I have provided behavioral consults for dog owners in the Tucson area for over eleven years.

I use positive reinforcement techniques that utilize praise, rewards, consistency, and timing, to foster trust and comprehension in the dog's mind.   Positive rewards (praise and treats) are what we like to use when we are teaching our boarding dogs how to use the equipment in our agility playground, and also to pose for pictures!

Connie retired from a career as a registered nurse, and we share our love of dogs and a philosophy that places great value on the mental, physical, and emotional benefit of having a dog in a person's life.  And the importance of creating a harmonious, balanced relationship between the person and the dog. We bring a dog into our lives to enrich our lives; it serves ourselves and our dogs to enhance this relationship by teaching our dogs how we want them to behave and what we expect from them. It is a dog's nature to follow our lead when we provide clear, positive, and benevolent leadership. By establishing this natural relationship with our dogs, we are able to fully enjoy one of the most rewarding relationships in life.

And Connie and I live this philosophy each day at Adventure Dog Ranch.

Koko & Ripley

Hi Thom,

Just a quick note to thank you for taking such good care of Koko and Ripley. One of the things that we were most concerned about when we left Madison, WI to move to Tucson was where we would board Koko and Ripley.  Well, our concerns were unfounded thanks to the wonderful dog boarding service that you provide. We are so pleased to have found you and humbled by the loving care and attention you give all of your guests. Koko and Ripley returned home happy, healthy, and of course tired from all of the play time, nature walks, and swimming. We loved getting the daily photo albums and seeing how much fun Koko and Ripley were having.  Koko and Ripley are definitely looking forward to their next stay!
